Nel marzo 1993 trasferito al Dipartimento di Chirurgia dell’Università di Roma Tor Vergata per la Cattedra di Chirurgia della Mano e dal maggio 1998 per la Cattedra di Ortopedia e Traumatologia, strutturato come Dirigente Medico di I Livello fino al 15/09/2019. Giuseppe Cannata was born in Rome (Italy) on August 29th 1961. He completed his university studies at the University of Rome “La Sapienza” during the academic years from 1979-80 to 1984-85. On July 23th 1985 he graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the same University with a score of 110/110 cum laude. He was qualified to the exercise of the Profession of Medical Doctor overcoming the State Examination at the University of Rome “La Sapienza” in the second session of the year 1984 (november 1985). He is enrolled to the Medical Register of Rome and Province since February 26th 1986. He obtained the Certificate of the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (E.C.F.M.G.) for exercising the Profession of Medical Doctor in the U.S.A., overcoming the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination in the Medical Sciences (F.M.G.E.M.S.) and the E.C.F.M.G. On November 28th 1994 he specialized in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Rome “La Sapienza”, with a score of 70/70. From January 12th 1990 to March 16th 1993 he worked at the Chair of General Clinical Medicine and Medical Therapy of the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” with the title of Technical Functionary VIII f.q., structured as Assistant. In March 1993, he was transferred to the Department of Surgery of the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” at the Chair of Hand Surgery, and he worked there up to April 1998, when he was transferred to the Chair of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, structured as Medical Director of I Level up to September 15th 2019. Since April 1st 2001 he holds the title of Confirmed University Researcher and since July 14th 2006 he is awarded with the title of Aggregate Professor. Since September 14th 2011 he belongs to the scientific discipline sector MED/34 Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine, currently in the Department of Clinical Sciences and Translational Medicine. He always contributed to the scientific activity of the Chairs where he was working. His scientific activity is documented by more than 70 publications and by several personal contributions to National and International Conventions. He is holder of several teaching assignments in Courses for Degrees and Specializations.
