Massimiliano Caramia è Professore Ordinario di Ricerca Operativa presso l'Università di Roma "Tor Vergata". Ha conseguito il Dottorato di Ricerca in Ricerca Operativa nel 2000 presso l'Università di Roma “La Sapienza”, ed è stato Ricercatore (2001–2006) presso l'Istituto per le Applicazioni del Calcolo del Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche. I suoi interessi principali di ricerca sono relativi alle seguenti aree: scheduling, teoria del grafi, ottimizzazione, logistica, trasporti e sistemi di produzione.

E' Area Editor della rivista internazionale Computers and Industrial Engineering, ed è nell'Editorial Board delle seguenti riviste internazionali: International Journal of Mathematics in Operational Research, International Journal of Data Minining, Modelling and Management, International Journal of Society Systems Science, International Journal of Information Systems and Social Change, International Journal of Information Technology Project Management, International Journal of Advances on Intelligence Systems, International Journal ISNR Combinatorics.

Massimiliano Caramia is Full Professor of Operations Research at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”. He received his PhD degree in Operations Research in 2000 from the University of Rome “La Sapienza”, and has been (2001–2006) a Researcher at the “Istituto per le Applicazioni del Calcolo” of the Italian National Research Council. His main research interests are: scheduling, graph theory, optimization, logistics, transportation and production systems.

He is Area Editor of the international journal Computers and Industrial Engineering, and he is in the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Mathematics in Operational Research, International Journal of Data Minining, Modelling and Management, International Journal of Society Systems Science, International Journal of Information Systems and Social Change, International Journal of Information Technology Project Management, International Journal of Advances on Intelligence Systems, International Journal ISNR Combinatorics.
