Paola Castrucci – Professore Associato di Fisica Sperimentale della Materia, afferente al Dipartimento di Fisica dell’Università degli Studi di Roma Tor Vergata (UTV).

Abilata al ruolo di Professore Ordinario nel settore 02/B1 Fisica Sperimentale della Materia dalla procedura di Abilitazione Scientifica Nazionale relativa all’anno 2016, indetta ai sensi dell’art. 16 della legge n. 240 del 2010, con valutazione complessiva Ottimo.

Nell’ultimo decennio si è occupata di materiali a bassa dimensionalità come punti quantici di Ge, nanotubi (di C, Si e AlN) e nanofili di Si, silicene e applicazioni in celle solari e fotorivelatori di nanotubi di carbonio, grafene e recentemente di film bidimensionali di isolanti topologici quali il Bi2Se3. Ha una consolidata esperienza nei: processi di crescita CVD, MBE, evaporazione termica; caratterizzazioni strutturali ed elettroniche attraverso diverse tecniche spettroscopiche, microscopiche e di diffrazione; fabricazione e caratterizzazione di celle solari e fotorivelatori.

Partecipazione a diversi progetti di ricerca finanziati (INFN, EOARD, NIRAP(Australia),COFIN,INFM )

Coordinatore e responsabile per il 2011 e 2012 del progetto Galileo, dal 2014 al 2016 di un progetto bilaterale del MAECI e per il 2016-17 di un progetto nell’ambito del bando “Consolidate the foundation” dell’UTV e dal 2017 al 2019 per un progetto bilaterale Italia-Canada del MAECI.

Referee di Progetti per l’Engineering and Physical Science Research Council (EPSRC) (UK), per l’American Chemical Society Petroleum Fund, per l’Università di Firenze e per il MIUR.

Membro dell’Editorial Board di "Advances in Nano Research" edito dalla TechnoPress (SouthKorea) accreditata SCIE e Scopus.

È stata premiata nel 2016 con lo “Nanoscience Prize” per i suoi “Outstanding Achievements in Nanoscience” dall’ACSIN-13 e nel 2010 con il gruppo dell’INRS con il Premio-Venezia-2010 Award of Excellency dalla Camera di Commercio Italiana in Canada per l’eccellenza, la qualità e la produttività della collaborazione tra i 2 gruppi.

Paola Castrucci

Associate Professor of Experimental Physics of Matter, member of the Physics Department of the University of Rome Tor Vergata (UTV).

Admitted to the role of Full Professor in the 02 / B1 Experimental Matter Physics sector by the National Scientific Qualification procedure in 2016, to art. 16 of the law n. 240 of 2010, with excellent overall rating.

In the last decade, her research dealt with low dimensional structures, such as Ge quantum dots, nanotubes (of C, Si and AlN) and Si nanowires, silicene and applications in solar cells and photodetectors of carbon nanotubes, graphene and two dimensional topological insulators as Bi2Se3. She has extensive experience in: CVD, MBE, thermal evaporation growth processes; structural and electronic characterizations through different spectroscopic, microscopic and diffraction techniques; fabrication and characterization of solar cells and photodetectors.

Participant in various funded research projects (INFN, EOARD, NIRAP (Australia), COFIN, INFM)

Coordinator and responsible for 2011 and 2012 of the Galileo project, from 2014 to 2016 of a bilateral project of the MAECI and for 2016-17 of a project within the "Consolidate the foundation" call for proposals for UTV and from 2017 to 2019 for a bilateral Italy-Canada project of the MAECI.

Referee of Projects for the Engineering and Physical Science Research Council (EPSRC) (UK), for the American Chemical Society Petroleum Fund, for the University of Florence and for the MIUR.
