Dal 1986 Professore ordinario di "Macchine" nell'Università di Roma "Tor Vergata". Presidente del Corso di Studi di Ingegneria Energetica dal 2000 a tutt'oggi.

Membro della Giunta nazionale dei Professori di Macchine nel triennio 2002/2005. Già Presidente del Corso di Laurea in Ingegneria Meccanica nel triennio '86-'89.

Già membro della commissione istruttoria del Ministero dell'Industria per le iniziative di risparmio energetico, dei gruppi di lavoro del C.T.I. sulla "Combustione in Letto Fluido" e sugli "Impianti a ciclo combinato".

 

Consulente scientifico del MIUR per i progetti di ricerca applicata nel settore della Ingegneria meccanica. Esperto dell'Autorità dell'Energia e del CCSE per la verifica degli impianti incentivati ai sensi del CIP 6. Consulente di numerose Aziende per iniziative nel settore dell'energia.

Autore di oltre 70 lavori scientifici riguardanti: macchine idrauliche, impianti di potenza, cogenerazione e "repowering", soluzioni innovative per cicli a vapore (rigeneratore barometrico) e cicli misti gas-vapore (Gas Injection Steam Cycle), monitoraggio e diagnostica di impianti termoelettrici.
