Ugo Zammit è nato a Frosinone il 7/10/1956 e si è laureato in Fisica presso l'Università di Roma “La Sapienza” nel Settembre  1981. E' professore Straordinario l’Università di Roma “Tor Vergata”.  Ha svolto attività scientifica di carattere principalmente sperimentale nel campo dello studio delle proprietà termiche ed ottiche dei materiali. Si è occupato  dello sviluppo ed applicazioni delle tecniche fototermiche , principalmente per applicazioni calorimetriche  ad alta risoluzione, e per misure di assorbimento ottico ad elevata  sensibilità per studi spettroscopici nei  film sottili e,  in minor misura,  per diagnostiche non distruttive in materiali ed in dispositivi elettronici integrati. Attualmente si occupa anche delle tecniche di diagnostica sullo stato di conservazioni di beni librari ed archivistici. L’attività didattica che svolge dal  1984, ha riguardato principalmente corsi di Fisica Generale.

E’ autore di circa 80  pubblicazioni su riviste internazionali.

L’attività didattica che svolge dal  1984, ha riguardato principalmente corsi di Fisica Generale.
