E' professore Straordinario l&rsquo;Universit&agrave; di Roma &ldquo;Tor Vergata&rdquo;.&nbsp;</span><span>&nbsp;Ha svolto attivit&agrave; scientifica di carattere principalmente sperimentale nel campo dello studio delle propriet&agrave; termiche ed ottiche dei materiali. Si &egrave; occupato&nbsp; dello sviluppo ed applicazioni delle tecniche fototermiche , principalmente per applicazioni calorimetriche&nbsp; ad alta risoluzione, e per misure di assorbimento ottico ad elevata&nbsp; sensibilit&agrave; per studi spettroscopici nei&nbsp; film sottili e,&nbsp; in minor misura,&nbsp; per diagnostiche non distruttive in materiali ed in dispositivi elettronici integrati. Attualmente si occupa anche delle tecniche di diagnostica sullo stato di conservazioni di beni librari ed archivistici.&nbsp;</span><span>L&rsquo;attivit&agrave; didattica che svolge dal&nbsp; 1984, ha riguardato principalmente corsi di Fisica Generale.</span></p>

	Ugo Zammit , born in Frosinone on &nbsp;7/10/1956 , has graduated in Physics at the &nbsp;l'Universit&agrave; di Roma &ldquo;La Sapienza&rdquo; in &nbsp;1981. He is full professor of Applied Physica at the &rsquo;Universit&agrave; di Roma &ldquo;Tor Vergata&rdquo;</p>

	&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;The research activity has mainly been devoted to the development and applications of photothermal techniques for the study of optical properties in thin films and of the behaviour of the thermal parameters of materials near phase transitions. Recently he has been involved in research on diagnostic techniques for the conservation state of books and archive material.</p>
<p>
	The teaching activity since 1984 was mainly conducted in the field of basic physics in the engineering faculty.</p>
