	<span class="totem_bold">Luca Mazzei (PH.d)</span> is an Assistant professor Film Studies researcher under the department of&nbsp;&ldquo;Beni Culturali, Musica e Spettacolo&rdquo; of the University of Rome &ldquo;Tor Vergata&rdquo;. The core of his&nbsp;research is focused on the integrations between filmic materials and documental sources in the&nbsp;study of Italian Cinema. Since 1998, he has published several essays on such journals as &ldquo;Bianco&nbsp;&amp; Nero&rdquo;, &ldquo;Studi Novecenteschi&rdquo;, &ldquo;Comunicazioni sociali&rdquo;, &ldquo;Cinema &amp; Cie&rdquo;, &ldquo;Immagine. Note&nbsp;di Storia del Cinema&rdquo;, &ldquo;Panta&rdquo;, &ldquo;Agalma&rdquo; and on many collective volumes. He&rsquo;s also involved&nbsp;in the Storia del Cinema Italiano, published by the &ldquo;Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia&rdquo;. He&nbsp;had worked for &ldquo;Festival dei Popoli. International Documentary Filmfestival&rdquo;, between 1990</p>

	and 2000. He is in charge of the Film Section of the Film Photography Archive of the Italian&nbsp;Army, on behalf of the &ldquo;Dipartimento di Scienze storiche, filosofico-sociali, dei beni culturali e&nbsp;del territorio&rdquo; of the University of Tor Vergata (Rome). He has recently organized the&nbsp;international conference The imagined war &ndash; The rising of media culture and the Libyan war&nbsp;(1911-1912), with G. Spagnoletti (Roma, 2011) and the film screenings The war seen form afar,&nbsp;on the documentary footage filmed during the Libyan war (Roma, 2011; with S. Berruti).</p></document> a:0:{}"
