Synthesis of calcium phosphate-based nanopowders and bioglass via sol-gel technology for porous bone scaffolding and bioactive coatings;

Electrospinning of synthetic and biologically-derived bioresorbable polymers, polymeric blends and various nanocomposites for biomedical applications and self-healing coatings for corrosion protection;

Fabrication of polymeric bioresorbable microspheres for release platforms of bioactive molecules and cell encapsulation;

Mechanical evaluation and implementation of surgery devices;

Fabrication and nanodesign of ceramic nanofibers by means of electrospinning technology;

High-performance nanoengineered cementitious materials
