Rolando M. D’Angelillo è Professore Associato in Radioterapia (MED/36) presso il Dipartimento di Biomedicina e Prevenzione dell’Università degli Studi di Roma Tor Vergata. L’attività scientifica è incentrata sul trattamento delle patologie oncologiche, con particolare riferimento alle neoplasie della prostata, del polmone e della mammella. In questo ambito sta collaborando a ricerca clinica nazionale ed internazione sui trattamenti multimodali radianti e farmacologici, sullo sviluppo di features radiomiche nel tumore della mammella e del polmone, sull’impiego del trattamento stereotassico in nuove indicazioni cliniche. È docente presso la facoltà di Medicina e Chirurgia sia nell’ambito della Laurea magistrale in Medicina e Chirurgia  in italiano che in inglese, al corso di laurea in odontoiatria, ai corsi di laurea triennale in tecniche di radiologia medica per immagini e radioterapia, dietistica. Direttore della Scuola di Specializzazione in Radioterapia e docente a master e a scuole di specializzazione presso la medesima università. È Vicepresidente della Società Italiana di Uro-Oncologia (SIUrO) dal 2022, Coordinatore del gruppo metodologico per le Linee Guida AIRO (Associazione Italiana di Radioterapia e Oncologia clinica) dal 2018, Componente del Consiglio Direttivo della Società Italiana di Uro-Oncologia (SIUrO) dal 2018, Componente del Consiglio Direttivo dell’ AIRO (Associazione Italiana di Radioterapia e Oncologia clinica) per il triennio 2021-2024, membro del panel di estensori per le linee guida sul tumore della prostata. Attualmente è anche Direttore della UOC di Radioterapia del Policlinico Tor Vergata. Come si può ricavare dai dati SCOPUS, è autore di 129 pubblicazioni scientifiche indicizzate su SCOPUS, con un h-index pari a 23.

ACADEMIC EXPERIENCE

Rolando M. D'Angelillo is Associate Professor in Radiotherapy (MED/36) at the Department of Biomedicine and Prevention of the University of Rome Tor Vergata. The scientific activity is focused on the treatment of oncological pathologies, with particular reference to prostate, lung and breast cancer. In this context he is collaborating in national and international clinical research on multimodal radiation and pharmacological treatments, on the development of radiomic features in breast and lung cancer, on the use of stereotactic treatment in new clinical indications. Teaching assignments are at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery both in the context of the master's degree in Medicine and Surgery in Italian and in English, in the degree course in dentistry, in the three-year degree courses in medical radiology techniques for imaging and radiotherapy, dietetics . Director of the School of Specialization in Radiotherapy and lecturer in masters and specialization schools at the same university. He is Vice-President of the Italian Society of Uro-Oncology (SIUrO) since 2022, Coordinator of the methodological group for the AIRO Guidelines (Italian Association of Radiotherapy and Clinical Oncology) since 2018, Member of the Board of Directors of the Italian Society of Uro-Oncology (SIUrO ) since 2018, Member of the Board of Directors of AIRO (Italian Association of Radiotherapy and Clinical Oncology) for the three-year period 2021-2024, member of the panel of drafters for the guidelines on prostate cancer. He is also currently Director of the Radiotherapy Department at the Tor Vergata Academic Hospital. As can be deduced from the SCOPUS data, he is the author of 129 scientific publications indexed on SCOPUS, with an h-index of 23.
